Breast Lift Chicago
As a result of weight loss, pregnancy, breast feeding, or simply aging, women may find that their breasts lose shape, firmness or fullness. Breasts may settle at a low position and look hollow or emptied out in the upper portion of the breast. This can affect a woman’s self-image and confidence.
If you notice these changes in your breast and desire to restore the firmness and shape or your breast, a breast lift (mastopexy) may be right for you. If you have lost significant volume, the lift procedure can also be combined with the placement of a breast implant.
The most common procedure for breast lift involves three incisions; around the areola, vertically down from the areola to the breast crease, and horizontally along the breast crease. Through these incisions, the underlying breast tissue is reshaped and lifted, and excess skin is removed to compensate for the loss of elasticity. The areola is repositioned to a natural height .and can be reduced in size if desired.
During your consultation with Dr. Fine or Dr. Schierle, you can expect to discuss your preference for breast shape and volume, activity level, weight fluctuations, and plans for children which may affect the surgical outcome. Good candidates for breast lift are generally women of normal, stable weight who have completed their families.
