Are you unhappy with the saggy look of your breasts? Breasts can sag due to a variety of factors, including the aging process, pregnancy, and breastfeeding, and some women have naturally droopy breasts.

A breast lift is a popular surgery that can correct drooping in the breasts by removing the excess skin that is making them sag. It is a very effective procedure to make breasts perkier again.

There are different techniques used for breast lift surgeries, and your doctor will use the type of technique best suited for you. These techniques vary in the amount of tissue they can remove and thus the amount of lifting they can provide.

One of the most comprehensive techniques that we offer is the anchor breast lift. The unique thing about this technique is that it is extremely effective in lifting breasts that have sagged quite extensively.

The Anchor Breast Lift

The anchor breast lift gets its name from the shape of the incision pattern made for it. The incision pattern resembles an upside-down anchor. It is also called an inverted-T breast lift.

For this technique, three incisions are required. One incision is made around the edge of the areola. The next is a vertical incision reaching down from the areola to the inframammary crease (the edge of the breast where it meets the chest). The third one is a curving horizontal incision made in the inframammary crease.

Through these incisions, the surgeon will remove extra tissues as needed. The skin will be lifted and tightened. The areolae will be moved to a more elevated position. The areola size can be also reduced during the breast-lift surgery. Once the reshaping of the breasts is complete, the surgeon will close the incisions with sutures.

The Anchor Lift Advantage

The anchor lift is ideal for breasts that have sagged considerably. Other breast-lift techniques cannot correct excessive sagging or very pendulous breasts as well as the anchor lift.

This is because the three incisions at different sites allow the surgeon a high degree of easy access to the breast tissues. The locations make it possible for surgeons to work on the breast tissues from all sides. The final result can be quite outstanding, with breasts looking perkier and more attractive.
